Twitter and LinkedIn are now integrated

It’s no secret, Social Networking is the new SEO. The last couple of years have seen a major rise in popularity for sites such as Twitter and LinkedIn. If you’re a user of both then you’re in for a treat, it was announced last week that the two social networking giants are now integrated!

Now it’ s possible to Tweet to LinkedIn and post your status updates to Twitter. Once you have allowed the two to share each others updates via the LinkedIn and Twitter settings respectively all you have to do is simply add the #in hashtag to the end of the update you wish to share on both accounts.

The LinkedIn blog has compared wanting Twitter and LinkedIn to work together to “Peanut Butter and Chocolate”. With the new changes you can amplify the audience of your tweets/statuses by posting to the other site, whether or not this will work to plan is another question but the idea, in our eyes, is a good one!
